"Hit the bricks" Cornhole tournament / .64 Chalk walk

October 21st is filled with events two of which will be held at our very own Walnut River Brewing Company.

Start the day off at Walnut River Brewing Company by joining Main Street in their "Hit the Bricks" Cornhole Tournament at 9:00 AM. There is a $40 entry fee per team, and you can sign up at the time of the event. Trophies will be awarded!

Next up is the Chamber's .64 Chalk Walk. All proceeds will go to our Chamber Scholarship Fund, where we award one student from El Dorado High School and one student from Circle High School. To participate you need to purchase a $30 T-Shirt. You'll get a beer in hand and we will start walking at 4:00 so make sure you are on time! There will be stops along the way, and Black Gold Grill will be serving BBQ sandwiches.

After the Chalk Walk don't forget to head to the big Football game "Iowa Western vs. Butler" at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex at 7:00 PM. If football is not your thing no worries head down to Halloween Family Fun Night at El Dorado State Park Shooting Range and enjoy a trunk or treat, hay rack ride, movie, and games. There will be hot dogs, chips, and witches brew. Come in costume from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM.

No matter what you choose or if you choose them all, it's sure to be a fun and eventful day here in El Dorado!

Your Chamber along with the American Legion Post 81's goal for 2023 is to have a wreath placed on each veteran's grave for Wreaths Across America on December 16, 2023. Each entrance ticket is $17, which goes towards a wreath placed on a veteran's grave; anyone who buys two tickets, Post 81 will receive a third wreath free. Chamber member-made door wreaths will be auctioned off during the festival. If your business would like to donate a wreath for auction please drop them off with Paige or Phil at the Chamber of Commerce, 201 E Central Ave. This fundraising network event will serve beverages and horderves. There will also be a riddle game to play at your leisure, the winner will be announced at the end of the event (must be present to claim the prize).
